🧨 Is Beer Cheaper Than Water In Czech
Beer is literally cheaper than water in many places, and it's excellent beer. Went to Prague few years ago, and I was walking around a lot, to see as much as I could. Every now and then I had to use the bathroom, obviously, and I usually ended up walking near a pub. Most of them had a charge of 50kc if you just wanted to use a bathroom, or free
The original, and still a world class beer, Pilsner Urquell is an absolute must. Other Czech lagers available in the US worth trying are Rebel, Únětice, and Czechvar (don't believe all the "original" bollocks, Budvar were founded in 1895, 30 years after what became Anheuser-Busch, and 100 years after Bürgerliches Brauhaus Budweis, which became Samson).

Long gone are the days when beer was cheaper than water in the Czech Republic in restaurants, and now there has to be at least one non-alcoholic beverage on the menu cheaper than an alcoholic drink. In all seriousness, you will have a hard time to find a restaurant in the city center serving free tap water, but you can give it a try.
